A BROWNIAN MOTION ACROSS HUMANITY
One of the most interesting things about the internet is the power to connect the web of human experience together, making amazing coincidences and stories easier to form. Inspired by hitchBOT's trip across Canada in 2004, my idea with Project Atlas was to create a human story powered by the coincidences of human life. Over the summer of 2015, we released a family of anthropomorphic cameras into the world, known as explorers. These cameras capture short clips and upload them to the internet. Once the explorers were released into the wild, they are passed from person to person, between cities and cultures. The idea was to see where these little robots ended up! Unfortunately, my work at Microsoft kept me from working on the project too much after the initial layouts, but I love what the rest of the team came up with. Check it out at the link above.
